Support St M's

"We at St Michaels have to raise approximately £120,000 each year not only to fund our ministry but also to maintain our wonderful and historic church building in a good state of repair. Under our roof are many centuries of history. It is a delight to be able to offer this to the people who visit us from all over the world but to do this is a significant financial expense. We are almost entirely dependent upon voluntary contributions. We would be most grateful if you would be prepared to support us with a donation and to help to keep our building open and interesting for all visitors."

Thank you so much.

Keeping St Michael’s going and growing

In our services and worship we proclaim a generous God and we give thanks for all He does for us. We try and create a community that lives this out and Jesus asks us to act as salt, yeast and light to the community around us. The church building remains a beacon of God’s love and hope in Framlingham and I hope our shared life and prayers do as well.

This is a message to celebrate all that we share and ask you to consider the part you can play. Please pray for St Michael’s and consider how you can help. The work of St Michael’s is hugely dependent on the work of volunteers in its mission in our community and also in all the activities associated with the upkeep of our beautiful building.  There is a list of the regular activities attached and do get in touch with the named contact if you are willing to help with any – from singing to bell ringing, serving teas to cleaning, serving to reading and, of course in helping to maintain the fabric of the church.

The costs of running St Michael’s, which is a round figure of £100,000 a year seems alarming but through generosity and help we have managed to meet these costs over the last few years. We are almost totally dependent on the voluntary donations from our congregations, visitors and the members of the Friends of St Michael’s.  We would be most grateful if you would be prepared to make a regular financial commitment and below are detsils about the various ways in which you can do this.

Your help means we are able to continue to meet the costs of St Michael’s mission and charitable work in Framlingham and beyond and to pay our Parish Share in full (this is our contribution to having a Rector and the costs of training and encouraging mission and ministry in England; it also contributes to the cost of providing pensions to all the retired clergy who have served their churches so well in the past).

It would help us to pay for the mission of St Michael’s, our building, we had the heating on throughout last winter which, although not an insignificant cost, made our church much more comfortable for all and we are wanting to do it again this year. Costs of everyday maintenance and insurance continue to rise.

So thank you for all you do and please consider how you can help

May God bless our work in His name
