Autumn is a season of contrasts as we move from the dark days of November,  remembering all those who have died for our country, towards the light and promise of Christmas.

Remembrance Sunday, November 12th at 10.55 a.m. Saxtead has a wonderful, solemn but low key remembrance service. We assemble outside the church at 10.55, with coats on! We play the last post, hold a two-minute silence, play reveille and remember those who died in both World Wars. All of you are very welcome. Most people stay for the service which follows, but some are happy to slip away, having remembered and paid their respects to the fallen. Hugh Wolley, P.C.C.
